DOHA: Al Arabi have announced the signing of Qatari international

Ahmed Abdulmaqsod from fellow Qatar Stars League side Lekhwiya

on a one-year loan contract.

Abdulmaqsod, capped on 24 occasions, is Al Arabi’s eighth signing this

summer, half of which are local players.

Another new recruit is Senegalese international defender Moustapha

Sall.

The tall defender has spent the larger portion of his career at French

giants AS Saint-Étienne. Appearing on 178 occasions in the span of 10

seasons.

He started as a member of the US Gorée Football Academy in Senegal

before making the journey to France, where he played for Saint-Étienne

and Nancy.
