DOHA: Salman Ahmed Ansari, President of Qatar players association Arbitration, has become the first Qatari to join the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne.

CAS is a globally acclaimed body that resolves sports-related disputes through arbitration and mediation.
Al Ansari has worked tirelessly at FQSA, a body that was founded by Qatar Football Association, Qatar Players Association and Qatar Stars League Management as a private institution for public benefit to operate independently from any other football and sporting institution and resolve through Qatar Sports Arbitration Tribunal (QSAT) the football or sporting-related disputes in the State.

Ansari holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Qatar and continued his education to earn a master’s degree in law from the University of Pennsylvania.

He also holds a master’s degree in business administration from HEC Paris.
