DOHA: Representatives of the famous Ammo Baba Football Academy visited the Qatar Football Association (QFA) headquarters and held wide-ranging talks with Qatar officials, details showed on Wednesday.

The officials discussed ways and means to develop football in the two countries.

The Iraqi delegation included Khadim Saddam, Hamid Saleh Mahdi, Hamoudi Salman, Salman Saadoon and other officials.

The delegation also visited Aspire Academy besides stopping by at Al Gharafa, Al Arabi and Qatar SC clubs.

The visiting delegation also met with Fahad Thani, Director of Football Development at QFA.

The Iraqi officials lauded the efforts of QFA to promote football in the country and the region.

It was also agreed that the two parties would carry out exchange programs in the future.

The Iraqi officials said Aspire Academy’s scout hunt scheme would a go a long way in helping young kids learn the game the right way.
