DOHA: Qatar, coached by Jorge Fossati for the last three months, have
closed the year 2016 at 87th spot in FIFA rankings.

According to latest details released by the world body, Qatar have
improved a notch to 87 having stayed at 88 last month.

Qatar, hosts of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, have accumulated 417 points.
Armenia is at 86 with Zambia at 88.

Iran are the top side in Asia following by South Korea and Japan.

Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, the UAE< China, Syria and Jordan complete
the top-10 in Asia.

Argentina are the top-ranked side in the world, followed by Brazil,
Germany, Chile and Belgium.
