QFA celebrates Sports Day in a big way

 

 

DOHA: Khalid Mubarak Al Kuwari, Director of Marketing and Communication of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), said on Tuesday: “Celebrating Qatar Sports Day is an affirmation of the country’s leadership’s keen interest in sports and that playing sports is an integral part of our daily life.”

 

 

Al Kuwari added: “In every edition of the Sports Day, we have organized many activities and events for the employees of QFA and their families at Aspire Academy and Katara. We have tried to promote the concept of sports through many different football activities.”

 

 

The QFA official added: “We have organized numerous activities with schools also as an integral part of our community outreach programs. Such activities are considered an important milestones in all plans and strategies that we implement.”

 

 

“Our participation in this year’s sporting event has been very popular – especially in Katara – as we saw hundreds of families, children and employees of QFA present at our programs. They enjoyed the various activities we organized throughout the day most of which were for children and young people. These exciting and diverse events are staged through the “Time Zone” initiative, which we are organizing in cooperation with Shell Qatar. ”

 

 

Al-Kuwari said that there were other events held also at Aspire Academy in cooperation with the Higher Committee for Projects and Heritage and the Qatar Stars League.

 

 

Al-Kuwari underlined the participation of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, saying the country’s leadership remains committed in making Qatar become a nation that incorporates healthy living with sports.

 

 

“The Emir’s active participation is a strong affirmation of the importance of sport in our daily lives and a confirmation of the positive meanings and concepts of the importance of sport in the lives of individuals. We see the leadership in the State of Qatar urging us to play sports,” Al Kuwari said.
