QFA delegation visits Khalifa International Stadium
DOHA: A Qatar Football Association delegation has visited
the Khalifa International Stadium ahead of the national
team’s World Cup qualifying game against China next month.
The inspection visit saw QFA officials inquiring about the
readiness of the venue for the high profile match set to be
played on September 5.
The Qatar vs China match will be the second football fixture
hosted by Khalifa International Stadium after the Emir Cup
final staged in May.
The upcoming match will be another valuable opportunity
for those who have not seen the stadium, a QFA official said
on Monday.
The stadium is a 2022 World Cup venue fully renovated with
LED lighting system and air conditioning system.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino was present at the Emir Cup
final.
