U-19s off to Spain for training camp
DOHA: The Qatar U-19 squad will train in Spain from August 11 to 19, it
was announced on Sunday.
Qatar, coached by Oscar Cano, are preparing for the AFC U-19 Asian
Cup to be held in Bahrain later this year.
Qatar will take on Mali and during the week-long preparatory camp.
Following the training camp in Spain, the Qatar juniors will appear
in a Gulf Cup Championship to be held from August 24 to September
2 in Doha.
Qatar are the defending champions of AFC U-19 Asian Cup having won
the tournament in October 2014.
It is worth noting Qatar just finishes the C.O.T.I.F Torneo Internacional
de Fútbol Sub-20 in Spain where they reached the semifinal beating the
tough competition of Mexico and Costa Rica.
