DOHA: Al Arabi produced a shock 2-1 victory over Al Sadd team in a tense match at Al Shamal Stadium in what was round 15 of the Qatargas League.

Al Sadd advanced through Khaled Badr Al-Yazidi (15) but Al Arabi equalised through Ahmed Ahmed Abu Trika (50).

Al-Yazidi scored his second goal of the match in the 68th minute to seal the deal for Al Arabi.

Al Arabi now have 34 points to be in third spot while Al Sadd are in 6th place (18 points).

In the next round of matches, Al Sailiya take on Al Gharafa while Al Duhail play Al Shahaniya at Al Gharafa Stadium.

On Monday, Al Khor take on Qatar SC at Hamad Stadium while Al Wakrah play Umm Salal at Qatar Sports Club Stadium.

In another match, Al Rayyan face Al Ahli.
