DOHA: Mansoor Al Ansari, Secretary General of Qatar Football
Association (QFA), inaugurated a coaching workshop QFA is hosting in
collaboration with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

A series of special lectures will be delivered at the April 3-13
workshop planned to help improve coaching standards in Qatar and the
region.

More than 20 coaches from Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Lebanon will join
participants form host country Qatar at the workshop, details showed.

Al-Obaid at the opening day lectures.

Delivering a speech at the behalf of QFA President Sheikh Hamad bin
Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, Al Ansari said: “We wish the participants
the best at this workshop. What they will learn here will help them in
the future.”

He added: “It is important to have such workshops since the game’s
development needs collaboration of the finest brains in football.
Asian football will benefit from this workshop.”

He said QFA pledged to host more of such workshops in the future.

Qatar will host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
