DOHA: The Qatar Amatuer League witnessed exciting battles in round two of

the event’s fifth edition.

Al-Bida, Qatar University and Al-Matar are at the top of the overall standings

with 6 points each after winning two successive matches.

The second week’s games saw the following results: Al-Azizia best Doha 2-1, Qatar

University beat Al Thumama 5-1, and Al-Bida beat Lulu 4-0 while Thakira beat

Maroona 8-0. Al Mater and Lucial played a goalless draw.

In the standings, the roster of teams is the following: Qatar University, Lulu, Al

Bidda, Al Matar, Madinat Khalifa, Lucial, Maroona, Al Aziziya and Al Thumama.

The top scorers in the QAL are: Omar Ali Al-Badah 5, Yahia Al-Haj Hassan 4,  Larry

Yao 3. Four players have two goals each and three players with one goal.

Matches of week 3:

Doha will meet Madinat Khalifa in round  three at QU on December 3 at 6:00pm while

Al Markhiya take on Doha Stadium at 8:00pm.

In other games on December 4, Al Matar play QU while Lulu take on Al Thakira.
