DOHA: Al Khor and Al Duhail posted convincing wins in their Qatargas U-23 League matches over the weekend.

Al Khor beat Al Ahli while Al Duhail eased past Al Rayyan in round 12 matches. Both teams posted 4-1 wins.

Saeed Brahmi (22 and 26), Ahmed Hassan Al-Muhannadi (53) and Meshaal Al Suwaidi (69) scored the goals for Al Khor at Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium. Mohammed Yassin scored for Al Ahli.

At the same venue, Al Duhail coasted to a 4-1 win after goals by Nasser Al-Yazidi (6 and 61, penalty), Fahad Waad (36) and Rabeh Yahya (68).

Ibrahim Abdel Halim scored for the losers in the 78th minute.

In another match, Al-Wakra clinched an important 1-0 victory over Al-Shahaniya at Saud bin Abdul Rahman Stadium. The only goal was scored by Jassim Al-Jalabi in the 66th minute.

Meanwhile Al Arabi ended their match against Umm Salal in a 1-1 draw at Al Sailiya Stadium. Al Arabi’s Khaldoun Ismail scored in the first minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Umm Salal drew level with after a goal by Omar.

Al Gharafa and Qatar SC also played a 1-1 draw at Al Wakra Stadium.

Youssef Hani scored for Qatar SC in the 20th minute. Al-Gharafa scored in the 24th minute through Muhammad Ramadan Siddiq.

The round started on Sunday with Al Sadd defeating Al-Sailiya 3-0 after goals by Mustafa Tariq, Abdullah Al Yazidi and Saud Al Nasr.

With the end of the 12th round matches, Al Khor and Al Duhail are at the top of the standings with 31 points each. Al Wakra advance to third place with 25 points while Al Arabi fell to fourth place by drawing with Umm Salal.
