The presentation of the practical and theoretical topics in the course was supervised by Mr. Abdulqader Al-Mughaisib, the AFC lecturer, assisted by the two lecturers Mr. Dr. Muhammad Jado, and Mr. Abdul Rahman Saeed, while the sessions were coordinated by Mr. Mahmoud Shaker.

The course was held within the training courses calendar developed by Mr. Fahad Thani Al-Zaraa, Director of the Development Department of the Qatar Football Association, and aims to refine the trainees, raise their level and grant them approved AFC coaching licenses, with the Qatar Football Association being one of only 4 Asian federations approved by the AFC in the training courses project.

Mr. Fahd Thani Al-Zaraa said that the development of coaches from a practical and theoretical point of view will contribute to the advancement of Qatari football significantly, as the players will benefit from raising the level of their coaches, which will develop their performance in local and international competitions, as seen in the abundance of talents in Qatari teams at different age levels, particularly also with the first team being the holder of the AFC Asian Cup title.

Al-Zaraa added: “The calendar set by the Development Department continued successfully even during the coronavirus pandemic, through distance education using the Zoom application or the currently used mode of blended education, which made the QFA unique at the Asian level, and also globally, by holding workshops and training courses within the procedures of a strict precautionary system, that notably culminated in the absence of any positive coronavirus cases during the activities of the Development Department in the midst of the pandemic for more than two years.”

The Director of the Development Department continued: “In addition to the training course calendar implement by the Development Department in the Qatar Football Association, under the supervision of the Asian Football Confederation, the Development Department holds monthly workshops with the participation of senior lecturers at the Arab, Asian and European levels, which ensures continuity of communication with the trainees, and thus the continuity of the process of education and development through their up-to-date and world-class training methods.”
