DOHA: Mohammed Muntari, who came on as a second-half substitute, scored two goals in three minutes as El Jaish recordeda come-from-behind 2-1 win over a fighting Qatar Sports Club in the Qatar Stars League at the Qatar SC Stadium on Saturday.

Cho Young-Cheol had scored against the run of play in the 19th minute to put Qatar SC in front, but Jaish’s lanky striker Muntari found the target in the 58th and 60th minutes.

Qatar SC could have still taken home a point had Hamdi Harboui converted the penalty kick he won, but he failed to beat goalkeeper Ahmed Sufiyan.

Meanwhile, defending champions Lekhwiya struggled against Al Kharaitiyat before Nam Tae-Hee’s 89th-minute goal helped them return with full points.

Elsewhere, Al Shamal and Al Sailiya played out a 2-2 draw.

Ricardo Costa scored an own-goal to give Shamal the lead in the fifth minute while Mohammed Salah equalised in the 72nd.

Said Boutahar put Shamal again in front in the 80th while Marconi Costa’s 77th-minute own- goal meant the team shared points.
