Emir Cup 2014 Trophy Tour Begins
DOHA: H.H. the Emir Cup 2014 football trophy tour began and made an unprecedented tour visiting three schools in Doha. The schools that the iconic trophy visited were the Philippine School – Doha, Saoud bin Abdul Rahman School, and Al Wafaa School. Children were ecstatic to witness the arrival of the iconic trophy and take memorable pictures with it.
The three schools are the first to witness the most popular trophy in local football tournaments. The trophy’s journey will continue to different schools and organizations across Doha.
A small welcoming party was organised at each of the three schools in celebration of the arrival of the glorious cup to the schools. QFA gave a presentation about the history of the Emir Cup and invited the schools to attend the semi finals and final match.
The Emir Cup trophy tour is considered one of the most important promotional activities organised by QFA every season, and it runs along the period of the tournament.
Al Wafa School organised a football tournament for the students.
Round 3 of Emir Cup matches will take place on 30th April, 2014 at Al Arabi and Qatar Sports Club. Two simultaneous matches will be played, first ones at 5:15pm and second ones at 7:45pm.
