Doha: The Qatar Football Association's (QFA) Disciplinary Committee has issued a series of sanctions following its latest meeting. The decisions were made after reviewing match reports from the eighth round of the 2025/2026 Doha Bank Stars League and the seventh round of the Olympic League.
Al Sadd faces one of the most significant penalties. Following a review of their match against Al Arabi on October 25, 2025, player Paulo Silva has been suspended for two matches and fined 5,000 Qatari Riyals for "unsportsmanlike conduct towards an opponent," in accordance with Article (4/1/47) of the disciplinary code.
In another decision, Qatar SC has been handed a formal warning and a substantial fine of 40,000 Qatari Riyals. This penalty stems from their repeated "violation of regulations and circulars" during their match against Umm Salal on October 26, 2025, as per Articles (44, 28, 3).
Al Wakrah was also sanctioned. The committee issued a notice to Mr. Daniel Jesus, the club's fitness coach, and imposed a 5,000 Qatari Riyal fine. This was for violating a circular issued by the Qatar Stars League management by failing to adhere to the official match dress code, referencing Articles (44) and (1/8-3).
Finally, Al Gharafa was fined 15,000 Qatari Riyals. The penalty relates to their Olympic League match against Al Ahli on October 23, 2025, where the club repeatedly delayed confirming the final match roster, a breach of Article (1/52).
