Falahi to officiate AFC U-23 Asian Cup final
Tashkent, Uzbekistan: The Referees Committee of the Asian Football Confederation has chosen a Qatari referee team led by Salman Falahi to officiate in the final of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup.
The final match between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia will kick off at 4:00 PM tomorrow, Sunday, June 19, at Bunyodkor Stadium in the Uzbek capital Tashkent.
The refereeing team consists of Salman Falahi (referee), Youssef Al-Shammari (first assistant referee), Zahi Al-Shammari (second assistant referee) and Saoud Al-Athba (second video assistant referee).
The AFC U23 Asian Cup™ in Uzbekistan 2022 kicked off on June 1, 2022, for the first time in the Central Asian region.
Spread over a span of 19 days, the Continent’s top 16 teams supplied thrilling action over 32 matches across four venues, three of which are in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent, namely the Bunyodkor Stadium – which staged the tournament’s opener and the final on June 19 – the Pakhtakor Stadium and Lokomotiv Stadium, as well as the Markaziy Stadium in the southern Uzbek city of Qarshi.
