FIFA 2018 World Cup referees workshop in Doha
DOHA: A referees workshop backed by world governing body
FIFA will be commenced in Doha on Monday.
48 Candidates who are likely to officiate during 2018 FIFA World
Cup matches are expected to feature at the workshop along with
scores of other local and international participants.
These seminars and courses will be supervised by famous Italian
referee of his time Pierluigi Collina, Chairman of the FIFA Referees
Committee, and Swiss Massimo Busacca, Executive Director of
the Referees’ Department.
Hani Balan, Chairman of the Qatar Referees Committee and Vice-Chairman
of the FIFA Referees Committee, and Naji Juwaini, Executive Director
of the Referees Committee, will also be part of the seminars.
The workshop lasts from February 5 to 9, details have revealed.
This is the second of four FIFA organized workshops in Qatar in the
span of one month, the first of which was the FIFA Technical Experts’
Workshop with a total of 75 members from 45 countries.
Qatar will also host the FIFA Women’s World Cup France (February
12-16) and the FIFA Master FUTURO Workshop (February 19-23).
