DOHA: The International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS) and the German Football League (DFL), governing body of the Bundesliga, have announced a partnership agreement in the areas of international cooperation and education across safety and security planning.

Under the agreement, the DFL and Qatar-based ICSS will share expertise amassed by their respective organisations. This will include collaborations on educational programmes, stadium management courses and the development of security operating tools to help the DFL in its delivery of safe, secure, sustainable and profitable venues.

The agreement with the DFL adds the Bundesliga to the portfolio of leagues ICSS currently works with, including the Spanish Football League (LFP), Italy’s Lega Pro and the Qatar Stars League. It also has a partnership with the Association of European Professional Football Leagues (EPFL), which acts as the umbrella body for 29 leagues across Europe.
