ALAIN: Coach FahadThaniwas a delighted man after Qatar hammered Yemen 4-1 in their 25 Asian Cup match at SheikhKhalifa Stadium on Friday.

“It was an outstanding performance and I am pleased with the show,” coachFahad said on Friday.

“I think the players played their natural game and performed well as a team,” he added.

“We have achieved our target from this match. We wanted three points and we collected those points,”Fahadsaid at a press conference.

“I want to say ‘well done’ to my players. We want to continue the good work in our qualifying campaign. I think this was a better performance than how we played last month (when Qatar won 6-0 in Doha),” he added.

“I think Sebastian (Soria) helped us kick off a powerful performance with that early goal.

“That goal helped the team improve their performance as the match moved on.

“Now our next target is Malaysia. We must show consistency and be positive,” coachFahadsaid.

“We had many chances to score but we must score when we can,” he warned his players. Qatar play Malaysia on November 19 in Kuala Lumpur.
