Doha: The Seventh Asian Communities Football Tournament 2019 (ACFT) concluded at Al Arabi Stadium where Jordan were crowned champions and took home the trophy for the third time since 2013, year of which the tournament was inaugurated.

In the final match, Jordan dominated India and won a 4-0 win, while Lebanon managed a similar 4-0 scoreline against Indonesia in the third place decider match which took place earlier in the evening.

An award ceremony was held to honor the first, second, and third place teams, along with the Qatar Football Association (QFA) referees. Five special prizes were presented, including Best Goalkeeper, Top Scorer, Best Player, Best Fan Engagement Team, and Best Team Management.

Jordan received the trophy, golden medals, and a cash prize of QAR 15,000 Q.R, while India received silver medals and a cash prize of QAR 10,000Q.Q and India received bronze medals in addition to 5,000 Q.R.

Jordan’s Charge d’Affaires and Minister Plenipotentiary H.E. Amjad Al Mubaideen, Lebanon’s and Hilal Al Mohannadi, Chairman of the Sub-leagues Committee at QFA congratulated the teams during the crowning ceremony.

Organized by the Qatar Football Association (QFA)’s Sub-Leagues Committee, this year’s edition was sponsored by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), official strategic partner, Nike, official supplier, The Look Company, official branding partner and Al Kass Sports Channels, official broadcaster.

The first edition of the ACFT was launched in 2012-2013 and saw the participation of six teams. In its’ first edition, the tournament saw huge success and as a result, the following editions witnessed an increase in the number of participating teams as more communities expressed huge interest in being part of this exciting community tournament.
