DOHA: A Level D coaching course conducted by QFA’s Development Department concluded at Al Markhiya Club.

The coachings sessions were attended by Mohammed Al Hashmi, Strategic Planning Advisor, Development Department, Fahad Fakhro, the Asian lecturer who oversaw the presentation of the theoretical and practical courses, and his assistant Abdul Rahman Saeed.

Al Hashmi started the closing ceremony with a speech delivered to the lecturers and students on behalf of QFA President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani and the members of the Executive Committee of QFA.

He also thanked the QFA and Fahad Thani for laying the platform of the course.

Al Hashmi said that the strong demand for the coaches’ courses is a positive response to Qatar’s winning the Asian Cup “which has made everyone interested in learning more about the game from the experts.”

Al Hashmi called on students to continue learning through such courses.

“The course is the first step in a long journey. You must love what you do. Learning and training must go hand in hand,” Al Hashmi said.

He also called on the experts to imaprt knowledge with intentions of developing the sport in the right manner

Fakhro also thanked the QFA for organising the course. He stressed the aim of the course is to put the trainer on the right path in the world of coaching.

Fakhro said that a “successful coach is somebody who must have a unique personality and a special style”.

He added that the students in the course are assigned to transfer what they learned to others also.

Nayef Al-Qadri said the course benefited the participants immensely. He also thanked the lecturers who “exerted great effort in practical and theoretical lectures throughout the week”.

In his closing remarks, Al Hashmi honored Fakhro, the AFC lecturer, with a certificate of appreciation on behalf of QFA.

Assistant Saeed was also honored with a certificate of appreciation. Certificates were also handed over to the participants of the course.
