RIETI, ITALY: Qatar’s first match under new coach Djamal Belmadi saw

them share a goalless draw with Macedonia on Friday in an international

friendly held at the Manlio Scopigno Stadium in Rieti, Italy.

Qatar, ranked 95 in the world to Macedonia’s 80, created the bulk of chances

but could not finish off their European counterparts.

Hassan Al Haydoos had the game’s first on-target effort as he tried to fire in

from afree kick, but keeper Naumovski made the save for Maacedonia.

back line that prevented Khalfan Ibraim and Khokhi Bualam from giving Djamal

Belmadi a lead in his first appearance as Qatar coach.

play and watch their Macedonian oppononted equally squander a handful of big chances.
