Qatar draw Northern Ireland 1-1 in friendly
LONDON, United KINGDOM: Uruguayan coach Daniel Carreno started his spell as
Qatar coach on a positive note as they held Northern Ireland 1-1 in their international
friendly played at Crewe, England, on Sunday.
Stuart Dallas put Northern Ireland ahead in the 47th while Lekhwiya midfielder Karim
Boudiaf equalised in the 70th.
The match was a part of Qatar’s preparations for the second round of the 2018 World
Cup qualification, which is set to begin with an away game against Maldives on June 11.
Qatar will next play Scotland on June 5.
