Qatar gear up for two key friendlies in Spain
MALAGA, Spain: Qatar U-19 squad that arrived in Spain on Thursday has
kicked off it’s training, team officials said on Saturday.
Coached by Oscar Cano, Qatar juniors are preparing to defend their AFC
Asian U-19 title they won in October 2014.
The 2016 edition of the U-19 event will held in Bahrain later this year.
Qatar will play Ivory Coast on May 21 and then Costa Rica on May 23,
QFA said before the squad left for Spain on Thursday.
This is Qatar’s second training camp following their week-long stay in
Morocco last month.
Qatar played two friendlies in Morocco, winning one and managing a
draw in the second clash.
