DOHA: Hosts Qatar on Tuesday held China to a 1-1 draw in a

friendly played at Aspire Academy.

The U-19 teams battled with purpose but both the sides could

only score a goal each.

For Qatar, the goal was scored by Hazem Ahmed as the home

team got quality practice.

Qatar, coached by Oscar Cano, are preparing for the AFC Asian

U-19 Cup to be held in October in Bahrain.

Cano got all the 25 players a run in the game to get the youngsters

a decent run ahead of their French training camp later this month.

Qatar are the U-19 defending champions having bagged the title in

Myanmar in 2014.

During the last three months, Qatar have played friendlies against
Ivory Coast, Costa Rica and Croatia withimpressive showings.
