ZURICH: After a pulsating clash, Qatar on Thursday held Olympiacos to
a fighting 1-1 draw in a friendly at Stadion Grünfel.

Qatar, coached by Daniel Carreno, took the lead through Hassan Al
Haydos in the 81st minute.

Olympiacos managed the equaliser through Dimitris Siovas in the 88th minute.

Qatar are on their training camp in Switzerland which will be followed
by a few days of training in Austria.


The national squad flew out of Doha on Monday.

Qatar are preparing for their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying games
against Bhutan and Hong Kong to be played next month.

A total of 27 players are featuring in the two-stop training camp in
Switzerland and Austria.

Qatar beat Maldives in their first 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match in June.

Qatar next take on Bhutan on September 3 at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.

Soon after playing their game at air-conditioned Jassim Bin Hamad
Stadium, Carreno-coached Qatar will fly out to Hong Kong for their
third qualifying game at Mongkok Stadium on September 8.
