ZURICH: Qatar have jumped seven spots in latest FIFA rankings, details
have revealed.

Ranked 85, Qatar have enjoyed a great run of form recently, winning
all their 2018 FIFA World Cup and 2019 Asian Cup joint qualifying
matches since June this year.

Qatar has a tally of 365 points.

In the FIFA rankings announced in October, Qatar were placed 92.

Coached by Daniel Carreno, Qatar beat China last month in their their
2018 FIFA World Cup and 2019 Asian Cup joint qualifying match.

China are ranked 84 with a tally of 403 points. Liberia is a notch
behind Qatar in 86th spot with 394 points.

Meanwhile, Belgium have risen to the top of the FIFA World Ranking for
the first time ever, knocking Argentina off the summit.

Marc Wilmots’ side moved into first place thanks to their 3-1 Euro
2016 qualifying win over Israel last month.

Belgium were 66th in the ranking in 2009, and have completed their
rise to the top in just six years.

Elsewhere in the top 10, Chile have climbed four places to stand in
fifth, while England are up a place in ninth and Austria are also up
one to 10th, their highest-ever ranking.

Qatar take on Bhutan in their next Group C, 2018 FIFA World Cup and
2019 Asian Cup joint qualifying match, on November 17.
