DOHA: Qatar on Monday were held to a 2-2 draw by Austraian second

division side LASK Linz in a second friendly during a European

training camp.

Last week, Jose Carreno’s men recorded a 1-1 draw against Greec’s

champions Olympiacos.

With three Qatar under 23 players within their ranks; the result serves

as a positive prelude for the Austrain oufit before the begening of the

new football season.

Qatari trio, Jassim Al Jalabi, Asim Madibo and Al Muiz Ali were all

featured at different stages during the game.

Ahmed Yassir and Hassan Al Haydos scored for Qatar.

The match also marked the debut of midfielder Rodrigo Tabata as a

Qatar player for the first time.

Qatar are preparing for their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying games

against Bhutan and Hong Kong to be played next month.

A total of 27 players are featuring in the two-stop training camp in

Switzerland and Austria.

Qatar beat Maldives in their first 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match in June.

Qatar next take on Bhutan on September 3 at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.

Soon after playing their game at air-conditioned Jassim Bin Hamad

Stadium, Carreno-coached Qatar will fly out to Hong Kong for their

third qualifying game at Mongkok Stadium on September 8.
