DOHA: Hosts Qatar maintained a clean slate for the second time within a week after battling to a creditable 1-1 draw against Lebanon at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Monday.

Qatar, who are preparing for their three 2015 Asian Cup matches in October and November, relied on a brilliant strike from Sebastian Soria to share the spoils.

The visitors had taken the lead through Bilal in the 33rd minute to surprise the hosts who had easily beaten Mauritius 3-0 last week.

However, striker Soria found the net for the home team in the 48th minute.

Qatar play Yemen on October 15 in Doha followed by a return match against the same opposition on November 15 (away game).

Four days later on November 19, Qatar will take on hosts Malaysia.

Qatar has played two 2015 Asian Cup qualifying matches so far beating Malaysia in February before going to hosts Bahrain in March.

The 2015 AFC Asian Cup qualification matches will determine the participating teams for the event to be held in Australia.

A total of 16 teams will compete in the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.

Qatari players have been released by coach Fahad Thani as Qatar Stars League (QSL) clubs get set for the new season set to kick-off on Friday.
