DOHA: Qatar’s U-23 Olympic team has concluded its preparatory camp in Croatia as part of its preparations for the U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers to be played in October this year.

The training camp proved to be of great benefit to the Qatar squad coached by Chilean Nicolas Cordova.

Qatar also played three friendly games, beating Malta (5-0) before losing to Croatia (1-0) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (1-0).

Qatar’s Under-23 squad started the preparation camp on May 9 and lasted until June 8, which was divided into two periods.

The first period started at Aspire Academy from May 9 to 21 while the second period started from May 22nd with travel to Croatia.

Coach Cordova chose 26 players in the team’s list, which included: Mustafa Tariq Mashaal, Youssef Abdullah Blida, Faisal Mohammed, Bahaa Mamdouh Mamdouh El-Leithi, Hashem El-Abd, Jassim Mohammed Al Muhairi, Khaled Mohamed Saleh, Ali Malallah, Lotfi Madjer (Al Duhail), Jassem Jaber Abdel Salam, Abdullah Issa Al Sulaiti, Youssef Ayman Ahmed, and Issa Ahmed, Muhammad Ayyash and Yassin Farid, Nasser Saleh Al Yazidi, Rabah Bousafi, Abdul Rashid Umaru, Muhammad Khaled Al Nuaimi, Ahmed Al Janahi, and Andre Siahputra, Abdulaziz Hazza, Diab Harun Taha, Marwan Sharif Al-Sayed, Shehab Mamdouh Al-Leithi and Osama Abdul-Karim.
