QFA extends messages of solidarity to international football family
DOHA: Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), on Sunday sent cables of support to FIFA President Gianni Infantino and AFC President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa.
QFA President said Qatar urges complete solidarity among the football family in his special message.
The letter was also sent to President of the European Football Association, President of the Confederation of African Football, President of the Concacaf, President of the Caribbean Confederation Federation, and President of the Oceania Football Association.
The QFA President stressed the necessity of showing solidarity in the face of Coronavirus pandemic engulfing the world.
“We are living in difficult times, which requires us all to stand as one power and hand in hand to confront this great danger and fight this widespread epidemic. Solidarity is our main pillar of our success and will remain the anchor that we settle with during this difficult period,” the QFA President said in his message.
The QFA President stressed the full readiness of the Qatari football family to provide a hand of support and cooperation to contribute effectively in the fight against the pandemic.
The QFA President concluded his message saying he has confidence and hope that everyone can successfully and safely pass through this crisis and return again to normal life.
“We are pleased to see the global soccer family united,” the QFA President said.
Stressing that with more teamwork and discipline under the slogan “We will never surrender,” which are the characteristics derived from our favorite game of football, we can overcome this crisis and this uncompromising disease, stressing his great confidence in everyone leaving this stronger than before.
