DOHA: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) will hold the draw of the 46th edition of the
Emir Cup on April 11 at the Rotana Hotel – City Center with the participation of 16 clubs.

Sports personalities are also expected to attend the glittering draw ceremony set to be
broadcast live on national sports TV channels.

The 12 teams featuring in the QNB Stars League and four teams from the Second Division
will get a slot in the draw, organisers said.

The tournament will start with the first round which will bring together the fourth and fifth-placed
teams in the Second Division – Muaither and Al Shamal – on April 10 at Suheim Bin Hamad
Stadium.

The Emir Cup will be played in six phases. First round on 10 April 2018; Second round on 22-23
April 2018; Third round on 29-28 April 2018; Fourth round on 3-4 May 2018; Fifth round on 11-
12 May 2018 and the Sixth and final round, the final on 19 May 2018.

QFA said five venues will be used for Emir Cup matches: Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium, Grand Hamad
Stadium, Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium, Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium and Khalifa International Stadium,
which will host the final.

The QFA has completed all preparations for the start of the tournament, especially with regard to
the draw ceremony.
