Doha: Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association, hosted a lunch in honour of the representatives of the delegations of the participating FAs and the guests of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™️ draw ceremony, which was held yesterday at his home – before the draw – in the presence of a group of heads of the continental, regional and national federations.

At the forefront were Mr. Gianni Infantino, President of FIFA, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim, President of the Asian Football Confederation, and Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, President of the West Asian Football Federation.

Also in attendance was Mr. Yasser Al-Misahal, President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, and a group of representatives from brotherly federations from different countries and continents.

The lunch was attended on the Qatari side by Mr. Saoud Abdulaziz Al-Mohannadi, Vice President of the QFA and members of the Executive Committee, Mr. Ali Daoud, Executive Director of the Office of the QFA President, and Mr. Mushtaq Al-Waeli, Executive Director of the QFA’s Strategic and Institutional Development Office.

During the gathering, the attendees exchanged views on topics of interest, along with discussions about the World Cup draw and expectations ahead of it.

The attendees praised the position occupied by the State of Qatar at all levels, stressing the role of His Excellency the President of the QFA and his incessant efforts to strengthen the wonderful relationship that links the QFA with the international football family to serve and advance the game of football in various aspects.
