DOHA: Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), has stressed the importance of solidarity for the regional football bodies, saying the exceptional circumstances that the world is going through will require complete understanding and a positive approach to tackle COVID-19.

The QFA President delivered the message of closeness among the Arab football members in an official communique issued on Sunday.

The QFA President stressed the importance of backing in each other in his official note.

The QFA President’s message was delivered to football federations in Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Palestine, Lebanon and Yemen.

“We, as a footballing family, through cooperation and solidarity, will be able to cross to safety in the face of this deadly virus, and these are the values ​​that we learned from football by standing as a team that will be a guarantor of the victory of mankind, as is the case in football matches. Football, with determination and dedication, will be successful,” QFA President said in his message.

QFA Presidnet stressed the full readiness of the QFA to work together with all federations and provide all forms of support that lead to concerted efforts to overcome this pandemic.

At the end of his message QFA Presidnet wished for good health to the heads of federations and the brotherly Gulf and Arab peoples to confront this disease and get out of this crisis stronger and move forward looking towards a bright future.
