Jeddah, Saudi Arabia | Saoud bin Abdulaziz Al-Mohannadi was elected to the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) Council as Vice-President for the new term 2021-2025, at the conclusion of the General Assembly of the Union, which was followed by a meeting of the newly-elected Council.

Al-Mohannadi, who won the council membership after receiving 20 votes, was later named vice president -for the Asian continent – by virtue of recommendation.

His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), headed the Qatari delegation participating in the meetings of the UAFA General Assembly, which was hosted in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Thursday. H.E. also participated in the meeting of the UAFA Council, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Union.

The QFA delegation included Mr Saoud bin Abdulaziz Al-Mohannadi, (Vice-President), Mr Mansour Mohammed Al-Ansari (General Secretary), and Mr Mohammad Khalifa Al-Suwaidi (Chief Executive Officer, Aspire Zone Foundation).
