DOHA: Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), has continued to reach out to the football community at large, sending messages of solidarity and hope to federations across Asia, Europe and the Americas.

QFA’s aim to extend messages of goodwill comes in light of the exceptional circumstances that global football is going through in the face of the pandemic of the new coronavirus (COVID-19).

The QFA President said Qatar football wishes to see football action resume across the world as soon as possible. He said it was essential for football community to reach out to residents around the world.

He underlined the importance of seeing out the crisis with careful management at individual and collective levels.

In his messages, the QFA President affirmed the cooperation, solidarity and joint work between QFA and all continental federations in the present scenario, especially that ‘all football members are in the same boat in the face of the coronavirus’.

He expressed confidence in the safety measures taken by the football family to face this pandemic.
