DOHA: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) is set to host training camps for Algeria, Ghana and Gambia as part of their preparations to compete in the Africa Cup of Nations 2022, which Cameroon will host from Jan 9 to Feb 6.

The QFA hosting of the three teams comes within the framework of the fraternal relations that bring together its counterparts in various continents and other federations.

It is worth mentioning that QFA’s cooperation agreements with football federations worldwide have been successfully conducted over the years.

QFA said the three teams are scheduled to play several friendly matches during their respective camps.

Ghana are in Group C with Morocco, Comoros Island and Gabon. At the same time, Algeria will compete with Sierra Leone, Equatorial Guinea, and Cote d’Ivoire in Group E. Gambia will play in Group F with Tunisia, Mali and Mauritania.

QFA, as per past practice, has previously hosted training camps to help prepare the teams of Algeria and Syria in preparation for their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers for Africa and AFC Asian Cup 2023.
