QFA Vice President, top football officials meet AFC boss
DOHA: Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian
Football Confederation (AFC), met in his office in Bahrain the chief
and members of the Organizing Committee of the Gulf Cup. The visiting
elegation also included Saud Al Mohannadi, Vice-President of Qatar
Football Association (QFA).
Ahmed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee in Riydah
headlined a series of discussions that were heard by the AFC
Al Nuaimi praised Sheikh Salman for his efforts to develop the game in
the region and the continent.
Stressing on the need to build on the achievements of the Organizing
Committee and to work on the development of its activities and
programs for the benefit and interest to employees of the football
family in the Arab Gulf states, Al Nuami said Gulf Cup would usher a
new era of popularity among its fans.
The AFC chief applauded the efforts of the Organizing Committee and
said the Asian body remained committed to taking the game to all
corners of the continent.
