DOHA: Qatar Football Association’s (QFA) Saud Al Mohannadi led afour-member inspection teamto Saudi Arabia which will host the 2014 Gulf Cup later this year.

Al Mohannadi – who is the QFA Vice President – was joined by Hamid Al
Shaibani, Ghanim Al Kuwari and a number of Saudi officials during the
inspection of football venues to be used during the seven-nation
event.

The 2014 Gulf Cup of Nations will be the 22nd edition of the biennial
football competition, and will be held between 13 and 26 November in
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

It was scheduled to take place in Basra, Iraq but was shifted after
concerns over preparations and security.Iraq was also due to host the
2013 tournament, but this was moved to Bahrain instead.

Keeping a busy schedule, Al Mohannadi and his team were taken around a
number of match and training officials in Jeddah.

The inspection team was also shown around the dressing rooms and
cabins of match officials.

Al Mohannadi later provided his inputs on issues that needed to be
sorted out at certain venues.

This was the fourth trip of the Saudi Arabia for the inspection team.
