QFA’s Disciplinary Committee accepts apology
DOHA: The Qatar Football Association’s (QFA) Disciplinary Committee
has accepted the apology rendered by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Thani
of Al Ahli for ‘unwarranted remarks’ made last week.
The remarks that questioned refereeing decisions during a recent match
were made on April 14, 2016.
The issue has been since resolved following the apology from Sheikh
Ahmed of Al Ahli club, details showed on Sunday.
The issued cropped up when Mesaimeer’s Saleh Zuwaidi was been
suspended for two games and fined QR 5,000 for ‘assaulting’ Al Ahli
player Mohsin Yagur during a QSL clash.
Moreover, the QFA’s Disciplinary Committee said every club has to
right to file a complaint with the appeals committee to solve matters
rather than expressing concerns via TV or the press.
The Disciplinary Committee thanks Sheikh Ahmed for his presence during
last week’s meeting.
