Sheikh Jassim Cup: Security matters discussed at key QFA meeting
DOHA: Key security matters and overall organization of the 2018 Sheikh Jassim Cup to be played on August 1 were discussed at the QFA headquarters on Wednesday.
The meeting was chaired by Khalid Mubarak Al Kuwari, Director of Marketing and Communication at QFA, and attended by Hussain Al Sharshani, Ali Sher and Ziad Al Shammari, officials of the two teams and representatives of the security agencies.
Al Duhail will take on Al Rayyan on August 1 at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
Fans of Al Sadd will get to walk into the venue via gates 6 and 7 while supporters of Al Rayyan can enter through gates 4 and 5. People with special needs will have access through the family entrance at gate 3.
The gates will be thrown open to the public at 5:00pm, it was confirmed.
The pre-match press conference will be held on July 31 at Al Sadd Stadium in the presence of the team managers and players with the event being hosted by a QFA moderator.
Details of the technical committee meeting will also be handed out to the press the same day.
Al Kass Sports Channel, meanwhile, has completed all arrangements to cover the game live. A total of 15 cameras will be used for the live feed across the country.

The Sheikh Jassim Cup is a one-off football clash that kicks off the regular season every year.
