Social responsibility: People with special needs get royal treat
DOHA: People with special needs on Tuesday were treated to a spectacular football match between hosts Qatar and Iceland.
The international friendly at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium ended in a 1-1 draw but fans were treated to a great match.
The Qatar Football Association (QFA) provided special allocation of seats to fans with special needs, taking care of those attending the friendly with diginity and respect.
QFA had joined hands with Shafallah Centre to accomodate fans with special needs for the match.
The two parties have been taking active part in setting up programs part of their social responsibility campaigns for a few years now.
It is worth mentioning that QFA has developed an ambitious plan in the field of community work with many institutions based on its vision 2021.
