Doha: Qatar Football Association (QFA) today signed an agreement with Sout Al Khaleej radio station to become the “Official Radio Station” of Emir Cup 2015.

The nature of the agreement involves utilizing the station by promoting all the Emir Cup matches, activities, and sponsors events.

The signing ceremony took place in Al Bidda tower between Mansoor Al Ansari, General Secretary of QFA and Salem Al Mansoori, Assistant General Manager of Sout Al Khaleej.

The radio will also be running different competitions with countless prizes awarded to the winners.

The agreement signing characterizes the strong level of commitment that QFA continuously adopts to heavily promote this prestigious tournament across various media channels.

Mansoor Al Ansari, General Secretary of QFA said: “We are delighted to partner with Sout Al Khaleej and announce them as the Official Radio Station of this esteemed tournament. We have a long term relationship with Sout Al Khaleej which dates back to the 17th Gulf Cup. Sout Al Khaleej plays a very important role in promoting QFA activities and events, and we look forward to working with Sout Al Khaleej again this year”.

He added: “Through this long-term and unique partnership, Sout Al Khaleej will help ensure that all Emir Cup events are promoted heavily amongst the football fans and reaching new audience this year.”

Commenting on the announcement of the partnership Salem Al Mansoori, Assistant General Manager of Sout Al Khaleej said: “We are very proud to partner with QFA again this year for the 43rd edition of Emir Cup and are confident that this partnership will reach both parties’ goal which is to promote the Emir Cup to all fans in Qatar. We appreciate the opportunity given by QFA to be the official radio station of the Emir Cup 2015 and look forward to promoting this prominent football event of the year.”

He added: “We are going to be organising many competitions on the radio in which 10 winners will have the opportunity to watch the final match in Al Gharafa Stadium. The winners will be chosen from around the Gulf and London, and all expenses will be covered by Sout Al Khaleej.”
