DOHA: The stage is set for eight schools to vie against wach other in the quarter-finals of the the Seventh Edition of the Schools.

The 17-team championship is organised by Qatar Football Association (QFA) in cooperation with the Qatar School Sports Federation (QSSF) and under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

The Schools League represents the best model to develop the game among young athletes in a partnership that has produced excellent results for QFA and QSSF over the years.

The teams of Tariq bin Ziyad, Qatar Technical and Doha Secondary School qualified from the first group (15, 12 and 9 points respectively) while the teams of Abdullah Al-Misnad and Ibn Taymiyya Schools qualified from the second group (13 and 11 points respectively).

Al-Shahaniya and Khalifa and Nasser Al-Attiyah schools topped in the third group.

In the first match, the team of Tariq bin Ziyad School meets the team of Ibn Taymiyyah School and in the second match, the team of Abdullah Al-Misnad will face Khalifa Secondary School.

The third match will be played between the teams of Al-Shahaniya and Qatar Technical Schools.

In the fourth match, the teams of Doha Secondary Schools and Nasser Al-Attiyah will face off.

The two matches will be played on the sub-pitches of Al Sadd Club.

The semi-final matches will be held next Monday and the 24th of this month.
