Doha: Khaled Mubarak Al-Kuwari, Director of Marketing and Communication, on behalf of the Qatar Football Association (QFaa), participated in a press conference organized by Al-Yarmouk Preparatory School on Sunday to announce the launch of the fourth and final Schools Festival to be held under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Qatar 2022.

The conference was attended by Ibrahim Al-Aidan, director of Yarmouk Preparatory School, and Naqeeb Saeed Juma Al-Hatami, the general supervisor of the initiative which is implemented by the security department under the Department of Security of Facilities and Organizations at the Ministry of Interior, and Ahmad Yusuf Abul Al-Fin Al-Khaber Al-Turbawi at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

The fourth festival will start on Tuesday at Al-Yarmouk School with the participation of 32 schools, which is the exact number of teams featuring at the Qatar World Cup 2022, and it will include many activities that will be offered by the participating organizations with the schools when the World Cup is staged.

“We, at QFA, strive to establish the concept of football – through this festival – among school students, and the presence of this number of schools and students will honour the partnership between the sports and educational sector and the festival as a wonderful opportunity to support our team in the World Cup 2022 as a national obligation for all,” Al Kuwari said.

“The festival will be divided into three sections. The first section will involve 32 schools in the football tournament, divided into eight groups similar to the World Cup groups. The second part is sports presentations, in addition to the guidelines for the World Cup through this initiative to educate students about the security of stadiums and safety procedures,” Khalid Al Kuwari said during the press conference.

“The fourth festival will end all the activities involving the students. It will be hosted by Ahmed Bin Muhammad High School for Boys in cooperation with the Qatari Football Federation’s Referee Committee. The second event was the sports competition “for elementary and model stage” in cooperation with the Qatar Women’s Sports Committee,” he said.
