Sufyan: Bahrain match very important
SYDNEY: Qatar goalkeeper Ahmed Sufyan said his team is ready to
leave Australia on a positive note when they play Bahrain tomorrow
in the final appearance for both teams 2015 AFC Asian Cup currently
taking place in Australia.
Qatar crashed out of the Asian Cup following a 0-1 defeat to Group C
favourites Iran at Stadium Australia on Thursday.
Sufyan emphasized the importance of the match by saying: despite the
disappointment of a shortly lived tournament, we are determined to
win our last game here, playing Bahrain is never easy, there are no
secrets between both sides.
He added: clearly, The UAE defeat caught us off guard, it affected the
way we entered the match against Iran, such a big defeat in your opening
game will always prove a tough test for any team, and even though we
played much better, we lacked the needed concentration to get the
result we were looking for.
