DOHA: Qatar kicked off their U-17 GCC championship campaign with a resounding 4-1 victory over Kuwait at the ASPIRE dome.

The young Qataris strappingly took over the match, through many attacks and pressure, forcing the Kuwaiti team to lose concentration and mistakes due to being under unremitting pressure.

Qatar began scoring early on the sixth minute thanks to Abdulrahman Rashed, before Ahmed Abdulrasheed scored twice at 24th and 36th minutes.

In the second half, Hassan Ahmad added a fourth goal on the 84th minute, while Kuwait’s consolation goal came through Yusuf Al Rashidi a minute afterward.

In the other day match; UAE emerged victories 3-2 on the expense of Saudi Arabia in a match of extreme ups and downs.

The Participating teams were divided into two groups, the first included Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, while the second group features Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
