U-20s set for Italian camp
DOHA: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) on Wednesday named
a squad of 31 players for the U-20 national team training camp in
Italy.
The Qatar juniors will leave for Madrid on February 20, QFA confirmed
on Wednesday.
The week-long camp will be headed by coach Felix Sanchez who led
the Qatar to winning the U-19 Asian Cup in Myanmar last October.
The Qatar team is scheduled to play two friendlies against Florence side
Fiorentina on January 23 and Italy U-20 on the 29th of the same month.
Qatar are set to feature in the U-20 World Cup in New Zealand this
summer, earlier this month, Felix Sanchez’s men were drawn
in Group C alongside Portugal, Colombia and a to be determined
– next month – African team.
