DOHA: The Qatar U-23 team is scheduled to play two friendly matches with Jordan on May 23 and 26, ahead of the team’s departure for the Uzbek capital Tashkent to participate in the finals of the AFC U-23 Cup, scheduled to be held from 1-19 June.

The two matches will be held at Al Janoub Stadium at 7:00 pm, where QFA will host the Jordanian U-23 team in a training camp in Doha from May 21-28. Jordan is also preparing to feature in the continental championship in Group B along with the teams of Australia, Iraq and Kuwait.

Qatar’s U-23 team arrived in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, on Saturday for a preparatory camp before entering the AFC U-23 Cup finals, which are scheduled to be held in Uzbekistan at the beginning of next month.

Al Annabi Olympic squad had participated in the Dubai Friendly Championship that was held recently in the UAE alongside other Asian teams.
