DOHA: Mansoor Al Ansari, Secretary-General of QFA, said in a statement that two clubs that violated the federation’s circulars have been referred to the QFA Disciplinary Committee for further action.

He said Umm Salal and Al Kharaitiyat are the first clubs to be transferred to the competent committees for violating the QFA’s recent instructions.

Al Ansari said the circular issued by Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani, President of QFA, was sent officially to the heads of clubs on 24 September.

The two clubs were instructed not to negotiate new contracts unless previous debts were cleared.

He said that the QFA issued a new circular last Thursday (No. 278) regarding the non-termination of the contracts of any coach, technical staff or professionals players (Qataris or overseas).

Clubs which do not adhere to QFA directives will be penalised according to law, he said.

Al Ansari urged the clubs to strictly adhere to QFA rules and regulations that have been laid out by world body FIFA.
